Minister for Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, has asserted that President John Dramani Mahama is demonstrating a clear intent to deliver lasting transformational change during his current tenure.
In a Facebook post on Monday, April 28, Dr. Boamah expressed confidence in President Mahama’s efforts to build a resilient legacy for Ghana.
Highlighting the week’s scheduled activities, Dr. Boamah announced that President Mahama would be launching two major initiatives aimed at empowering Ghana’s youth and the small business sector.
“This week, President John Dramani Mahama will launch the following programmes: Adwumawura, which targets 10,000 young business owners, today, Monday, 28th April 2025; and the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP) aimed at training tens of thousands of youth in various artisanal skills, on Wednesday, 30th April 2025,” he wrote.
The Adwumawura initiative seeks to provide critical support for young entrepreneurs, helping them expand their businesses and contribute meaningfully to the economy.
Meanwhile, the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP) will offer skills development opportunities across various trades, enhancing employability and promoting self-sufficiency among the youth.
