The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has commended Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for showcasing strong leadership and a deep sense of unity by inviting his former competitors to accompany him on the party’s Thank You Tour.
Speaking on Sunday, April 27, during activities related to the tour, Mr. Kodua described Dr. Bawumia’s unifying nature as essential to the NPP’s success ahead of the 2024 general elections.
Mr. Kodua explained that Dr. Bawumia’s decision to involve his fellow former flagbearer aspirants demonstrates his dedication to promoting harmony within the party.
“It is Dr. Bawumia’s spirit of unity that enabled him to bring along those he once contested against for this important tour,” Mr. Kodua said, adding that such inclusive leadership is critical for healing divisions and strengthening the party.
He further pointed out that by embracing all stakeholders, Dr. Bawumia clearly signaled that the collective interest of the NPP takes precedence over individual aspirations. “The NPP must move forward together, and Dr. Bawumia is setting the right example,” Mr. Kodua stressed.
He called on all party members to rally solidly behind the flagbearer to secure victory in the upcoming elections.
Concluding his remarks, the General Secretary urged the party’s grassroots and leadership to be inspired by this display of unity.
“This is the spirit we need to advance. Unity is our greatest strength, and with it, the NPP will be unstoppable,” Mr. Kodua declared, receiving loud cheers from the supporters.
