The 12-member committee tasked with probing the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) defeat in the 2024 general elections has formally presented its report to the party’s national leadership.
The presentation took place on Wednesday, April 16, at the Alisa Hotel in Accra. Committee Chairman, Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye, led the team in handing over the official findings to top party officials.
The event was attended by several key figures in the party, including former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, and General Secretary Justin Kodua, among others.
The committee’s mandate was to assess the factors behind the NPP’s electoral loss and to propose recommendations to prevent a repeat in future elections.
While the findings were submitted, Prof. Oquaye refrained from commenting publicly on the contents of the report.
So far, the party has not released the details of the investigative report to the public.
