Government Declares April 18 and April 21, 2025, as Public Holidays for Easter Celebrations
The Ministry of the Interior has officially declared Friday, 18th April 2025, and Monday, 21st April 2025, as statutory public holidays. These dates correspond to Good Friday and Easter Monday, which are key observances in the Christian calendar.
In a statement signed by the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed–Mubarak, the general public is advised to note that these days are to be observed as public holidays across the country.
The declaration aims to allow citizens the opportunity to celebrate the Easter festivities, a period marked by religious reflection, family gatherings, and national unity.
