The Bono Regional Director of Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Mr. Mustapha Omar Copson has encouraged the youth to take advantage of government initiatives, including coding and flagship programs, to enhance their employability and contribute to the nation’s socio-economic development.
Mr. Mustapha Omar Copson emphasizes the importance of digital skills, including coding, to prepare young people for the modern job market.
By acquiring these skills, youth can increase their chances of employment in the technology sector abroad.
The Bono Regional YEA was speaking on Saturday at Freshers Akwaaba Summit organised by the Tertiary Education Institution Network (TEIN) of the NDC in UENR under the “theme Empowering the Next Generation: Strengthening Leadership and activism for a brighter future”.
The YEA Director’s call to action highlights the agency’s commitment to reducing unemployment and promoting youth employment in Ghana.
By leveraging these government initiatives, young people can gain valuable skills, experience, and employment opportunities, ultimately contributing to the country’s socio-economic growth.
He advised the TEIN members to commit to loyalty and support the NDC government in fulfilling it promises to Ghanaians.
Seidu Abdul Basit, the president of Teachers Education and Innovation Network (TEIN) at University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) made a passionate plea to NDC executives to provide National Service slot their members to allow them to serve after completing their education.
In an exclusive interview with Kaakyire Kwasi Afari of Sunyani-based Ark fm, the president of TEIN said members find it difficult to secure postings, making them regret joining the association. Hence, the slot will be seen as a relief.
Notwithstanding, Seidu Abdul Basit charged his members to limit their expectations of amid their government in power.
Mr. Basit called on the MP for Sunyani West Constituency Millicent Yeboah Amankwa to lobby for fixing the university’s inner roads.
