Ntim Fordjour demands commission of inquiry into suspicious flights’ saga

The Member of Parliament for Assin South and Ranking Member of Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, Rev John Ntim Fordjour, has called for a commission of inquiry to investigate recent reports of suspicious flights allegedly linked to narcotics trafficking and money laundering in Ghana.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, 8th April, Mr Fordjour directly criticised the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), questioning their role in the unfolding saga.

“See one of the culprits of the staged and false evidence, calling for cooperation. Release footages of the CCTV system at the airport to support your claim of staged inspection and maintenance,” he wrote, challenging the credibility of NACOC’s account.

He made the post after the Deputy Director of NACOC called on Mr Fordjour to collaborate with the Commission in investigating the matter.

However, Mr Fordjour was unmoved, recalling that NACOC and other intelligence agencies had previously distanced themselves from his request for a joint security meeting.

“They aided the misleading information put out by @FelixKwakyeOfo1,” he alleged, referring to the Government Communications Minister.

Reiterating his demand for transparency and accountability, Mr Fordjour insisted on the establishment of a commission of inquiry to thoroughly probe the allegations.

“We therefore call for a commission of inquiry to be established to probe into the matter. See you at the Commission of Inquiry,” he concluded, signalling his readiness to present further evidence and testimony in support of his claims.
