The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially summoned Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo to appear before its Disciplinary Committee as part of an ongoing inquiry into a matter currently under the party’s consideration.
In a letter dated March 24, 2025, and signed on behalf of Hon. Patrick Boamah, Secretary to the Disciplinary Committee, the party requested the former Dome-Kwabenya MP to appear before the Committee on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The meeting is scheduled to take place at the NPP Headquarters’ Conference Room at Asylum Down, Accra.
According to the letter, a referral from the General Secretary has been attached to provide context to the issue at hand. The Party has advised Hon. Safo to come prepared with any relevant documents or witnesses and has also reminded her of her right to legal representation during the proceedings.
“The Party remains committed to upholding principles of transparency, fairness, and due process. Your cooperation in this regard is greatly appreciated,” the letter stated.
William Yamoah, Director of Finance and Administration, also endorsed the notice, with copies sent to the NPP’s National Chairman, General Secretary, and the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee.
While the specific details of the issue under inquiry have not been disclosed, the move underscores the party’s resolve to enforce discipline and uphold internal accountability.
This development marks another chapter in the party’s ongoing efforts to streamline internal conduct ahead of crucial political engagements in the coming months.
