We’ll win fight against galamsey – Armah-Kofi Buah assures

Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eradicating illegal mining, known as galamsey, assuring Ghanaians that the fight is being treated with utmost urgency.

Speaking on the matter on The Point of View on Channel One TV on Wednesday, Buah emphasised the relentless efforts being made to address the issue and restore the nation’s natural resources.

“We are treating the matter as an emergency. We’re working around the clock, 24 hours a day. These matters must be dealt with all the urgency and emergency they deserve,” Buah stated.

He highlighted President Mahama’s prioritisation of the galamsey crisis, noting that significant progress is already being made.

Buah expressed confidence in the government’s approach, assuring citizens that all necessary measures are being implemented to tackle the problem.

“As a Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, I can tell the people of Ghana that we are dealing with this matter with all the emergency measures, all the urgency, the seriousness, and that they can be assured that we will be relentless and we will win the fight,” he declared.
