President Mahama Appoints New Security Chiefs

In a strategic move to strengthen Ghana’s security services, President John Dramani Mahama has appointed new heads for key security institutions. The announcement, made on March 14, 2025, by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, marks a significant shift in leadership within the security sector.

The newly appointed Security Chiefs include:

1. Patience Baffoe-Bonnie – Director-General of the Ghana Prisons Service (DDGP 3)
2. Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong – Chief Fire Officer (DCFO)
3. Samuel Basentale Amadu – Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service (DCI)

The appointments reflect the President’s commitment to ensuring effective leadership and operational efficiency in Ghana’s security services. The selection of these seasoned officers is expected to enhance security operations, improve service delivery, and address pressing challenges within their respective institutions.
