We the Concerned Assembly Members Association of Ghana (CAMAG) extend our gratitude to His Excellence John Dramani Mahama and his NDC government for keeping faith with his promise to Assembly members across the country.
CAMAG since 2019 has embarked on a welfare campaign of Assembly members and argued on why Assembly Members must be paid a monthly allowance to support their activities at the local level to better the local governance system. His Excellence John Dramani Mahama and his NDC party then at the opposition saw the need and the wisdom in our preposition and formalise it into a manifesto promise and has been consistent in delivering on it. At the time when the then NPP government was over populating his ministers and Presidential staffers at the detriment of Assembly members welfare and concerns.
We are very happy that we took a bold decision to declare our support for JDM and campaigned for such policy when we met His Excellence John Dramani Mahama at Eusbet Hotel in Sunyani.
We assured our members then, that His Excellence John Dramani Mahama and the NDC Party are promise keeping party and we trust them to deliver and two months into his government he has fulfilled his manifesto promise to Assembly members.
CAMAG will forever be grateful to you Mr. President.
God bless you.
Signed
Hon. David Atta Twum
