Constitution Review Committee expands national validation tour, adds Sunyani to engagements

The Constitution Review Committee (CRC) has revised its National Validation Zonal Engagement schedule to include Sunyani, responding to public calls for broader participation in the ongoing constitutional review process.

In a statement issued on Monday, March 10, 2025, Dr. Rainer Akumperigya, Secretary to the CRC, announced that the updated schedule now covers eight zones, with engagements set to take place from April 7 to May 9, 2025.

The Sunyani session is scheduled for April 22-23, 2025, providing stakeholders and the public in the Bono Region with an opportunity to contribute their views on Ghana’s constitutional reforms.

The CRC underscored the importance of public participation in shaping the country’s governance framework and has provided multiple platforms for submissions to ensure an inclusive process.

The committee is urging citizens, civil society organisations, and relevant stakeholders to actively engage in the discussions as the review seeks to address key national concerns and enhance governance structures
