NEIP CEO Engages Leadership of Persons with Disability Desk to Promote Entrepreneurial Growth

The Leadership of the Persons with Disability (PWD) Desk paid a courtesy call on the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Mr. Eric Adjei, at his office earlier today. The meeting was a platform to discuss innovative business initiatives championed by the PWD community and explore avenues for collaboration to foster entrepreneurial growth.

During the engagement, the PWD Desk leadership showcased their various business initiatives in areas such as weaving, beading, detergent production, and other creative enterprises. Their commitment to economic empowerment through entrepreneurship was met with admiration from Mr. Adjei, who commended their innovative spirit and resilience.

Mr. Adjei assured the delegation of NEIP’s readiness to support their businesses and develop targeted initiatives to help scale up their operations. He emphasized that fostering inclusivity in entrepreneurship aligns with NEIP’s mission of promoting economic development through innovation and enterprise.

The commitment to supporting businesses led by persons with disabilities is in line with President John Dramani Mahama’s broader vision for Ghana—one where opportunities are made available to drive entrepreneurship and innovation across all sectors. By providing the necessary support and resources, the government aims to create an inclusive business environment that empowers all individuals, regardless of their abilities.

The meeting marked a significant step towards strengthening partnerships that enhance the economic potential of persons with disabilities, ensuring that they have the tools and support needed to thrive in Ghana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
