The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has reiterated the government’s firm stance on fighting corruption and ensuring accountability, particularly targeting officials of the previous administration.
Speaking in a widely circulated video, Asiedu Nketiah assured that no official implicated in corruption—whether from the former Akufo-Addo administration or within the current government—will escape scrutiny. He specifically mentioned ex-Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, vowing that he would be tracked down and made to answer for alleged financial mismanagement.
“Wherever Ken Ofori-Atta is hiding, we will find him. He must present himself for questioning on multiple corruption cases. All former officials involved in corrupt activities will be held accountable,” he asserted.
He also stressed that the NDC government will not shield its own members from justice, promising to implement strict measures to ensure transparency and integrity.
As part of the administration’s anti-corruption drive, 2,417 complaints of suspected corruption—collected through the “Operation Recover All Loot” (ORAL) initiative—have been submitted to the Attorney General for investigation. These reports, gathered from the public, were officially presented to the president at the Jubilee House.
With these pledges, all eyes are on the NDC government to see whether its promises of accountability and anti-corruption enforcement will be upheld.
