Mahama appoints Adam Mutawakilu as Acting GWL CEO

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Adam Mutawakilu, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2024 parliamentary candidate for Damongo, as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Water Limited (GWL).

The appointment is subject to the Constitutionally required advice of the GWL Governing Board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

A statement issued by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, announced that Mutawakilu’s appointment takes effect from January 22, 2025.

The President extended his congratulations to Adam Mutawakilu and requested him to formally indicate his acceptance of the appointment within fourteen (14) days of receiving the letter. The statement concluded with the President’s best wishes for success in his new role.

“Kindly indicate your acceptance or otherwise of this appointment, within fourteen (14) days of receipt of this letter. Please accept the President’s best wishes.”
