President Mahama appoints Gyamfi Felix as acting Director-General of National Service Authority

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Gyamfi Felix as the acting Director-General of the National Service Authority, effective January 22, 2025.

The appointment, made under Article 195(1) of the Constitution and the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), is pending the constitutionally required advice from the governing board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

In a letter signed by Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., Secretary to the President, Mr Felix has been urged to confirm his acceptance within 14 days.

The President extended his best wishes to Mr Felix as he takes on this new role to guide the Authority in its mandate of youth development and national service delivery.

Key officials, including the Vice President, Chief of Staff, and the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, have been notified of the appointment.
