The Majority Caucus in Parliament has announced a major reshuffle in its leadership, prompted by Dr Cassiel Ato Forson’s recent appointment as the Minister of Finance. Dr. Forson’s transition from his previous role as Majority Leader necessitated the changes in leadership.
The reshuffle is aimed at bolstering the leadership team within the Majority Caucus as they advance their governance agenda.
Mahama Ayariga, the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, has been appointed as the new Majority Leader, succeeding Dr. Forson. Kweku George Ricketts-Hagan, the MP for Cape Coast South, has been named the Deputy Majority Leader.
In other changes, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, MP for South Dayi, takes over as the Majority Chief Whip, replacing Governs Agbodza.
Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, the MP for Ada Constituency, will now serve as the First Deputy Whip, while Richard Acheampong, MP for Bia East, assumes the role of Second Deputy Majority Whip.
These adjustments are expected to enhance coordination and strengthen the leadership team within the Caucus as they execute their legislative and governance priorities.
