President Mahama to begin nationwide Thank You Tour in Volta Region

President John Dramani Mahama is set to commence a nationwide Thank You Tour, beginning with a visit to the Volta Region on Friday, January 24, 2025.

The tour is designed to express his heartfelt appreciation to Ghanaians for their overwhelming support and trust during the 2024 elections.

The President’s visit will be marked by a grand durbar, bringing together chiefs, queen mothers, opinion leaders, religious leaders, labour union representatives, and key figures from the informal sector. This event is expected to strengthen the bond between the President and citizens while celebrating their vital contributions to Ghana’s progress.

In a statement, Acting Presidential Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu highlighted the significance of the tour, stating, “The Presidency invites all Ghanaians to come together in unity, pride, and celebration during this special occasion. We look forward to a vibrant and successful event in the Volta Region as we recognise and honour our fellow citizens’ invaluable support and trust.”

President Mahama’s administration has hit the ground running, setting a historic precedent by announcing a full cabinet within two weeks of assuming office. This swift action underscores his commitment to fulfilling campaign promises and addressing pressing national issues.

The Thank You Tour represents not only an opportunity for gratitude but also a platform for dialogue and engagement with citizens, fostering unity and shared vision for the future.

The Presidency has called on all Ghanaians to join in this significant event, uniting in celebration and optimism as the nation moves forward under President Mahama’s leadership.

“Together, we will build the Ghana we want,” the statement concluded.
