Appreciation Statement on My Appointment

Appreciation Statement on My Appointment

I am deeply humbled and immensely grateful to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, the President of the Republic of Ghana, for the confidence reposed in me by appointing me as the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs. This appointment is not only an honor but also a call to duty to serve the good people of Ghana in advancing the vision of the government to strengthen local governance, empower traditional leadership, and promote religious harmony.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the leadership and members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), my colleagues in Parliament, and the constituents of Banda, whose unwavering support and encouragement have shaped my journey.

I am fully aware of the critical role this ministry plays in the socio-economic development of our country. I pledge to bring my years of experience and expertise to bear in ensuring that our local governance systems are effective, our chieftaincy institutions are respected and empowered, and our religious communities coexist peacefully in unity and harmony.

I am committed to working tirelessly with all stakeholders to deliver on the trust placed in me, and I humbly call on the support of all Ghanaians as we work together for the betterment of our nation.

Thank you, and may God bless us all.

Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim
