Kofi Boakye Appointed Director of Operations at the Presidency

In a series of key national security appointments announced by President Mahama on January 15, 2025, retired Commissioner of Police (COP) Nathan Kofi Boakye has been appointed as the Director of Operations at the Presidency. This strategic role will place him at the forefront of ensuring operational effectiveness in matters of national security.

COP Boakye (Rtd.) is renowned for his distinguished career in law enforcement and his expertise in security operations. His extensive experience in managing complex security challenges makes him a valuable addition to the President’s security team.

These appointments, which also include Prosper Douglas Bani as National Security Advisor, DCOP Abdul-Osman Razak as National Security Coordinator, and Charles Kipo as Director General of the National Intelligence Bureau, underscore President Mahama’s commitment to strengthening national security.

The inclusion of seasoned professionals like COP Nathan Kofi Boakye demonstrates a proactive approach to addressing the evolving security needs of the nation, ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens.
