GRIDCo Announces Managerial Reassignments Effective January 2025

The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has announced a series of managerial reassignments across various departments, effective January 1, 2025. The changes, outlined in a circular dated December 20, 2024, aim to optimize the company’s operations and align departmental objectives with GRIDCo’s strategic goals.

The reassignments include the following key changes:

1. Ing. Osei Nkrahene, formerly Manager of Design & Standards in the Engineering Department, will now serve as Manager of Materials Management in the Procurement Department.

2. Ing. Martin Kodjo, previously Manager of Project Management, has been reassigned as Manager of Design & Standards in the Engineering Department.

3. Mr. Richard Koranchie, who managed Materials Management in the Procurement Department, will take on the role of Manager for Project Management in the Engineering Department.

4. Mr. Pius Avio, Manager of GRID Consult in the Corporate Strategy Department, is now the Manager of Commercial Finance/Tax in the Finance Department.

5. Ing. Frederick Okang, who previously managed Power System Planning in the Engineering Department, will serve as Manager of Transmission Asset Management (TAM) in the Technical Services Department.

6. Ing. Benjamin Ahunu, Manager of the Accra Area in the Southern Network Department, has been reassigned to Power System Planning in the Engineering Department.

7. Ing. Aaron Adjabeng, Manager of TAM in the Technical Services Department, will now oversee the Accra Area in the Southern Network Department.

8. Ms. Nana Ama Sakyi-Gyinae, Acting Manager of Warehouse Management in the Procurement Department, has been appointed Manager of ROW Vegetation Control in the Land Management Department.

9. Ing. Kafui Kportufe, Manager of ROW Vegetation Control in the Land Management Department, has been reassigned to manage Warehouse Management in the Procurement Department.

The Chief Executive of GRIDCo, Ing. Ebenezer Kofi Essienyi, emphasized the importance of these changes, stating that they are part of ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and foster leadership development within the organization.

All staff members have been urged to support the newly reassigned managers to ensure a smooth transition and continuity in service delivery.

These managerial reassignments underline GRIDCo’s commitment to maintaining operational excellence while adapting to the evolving needs of the power sector.
