Bono NDC Congratulates MPs and Elected Representatives, Urges Gratitude and Peaceful Transition

The Bono NDC extends heartfelt congratulations to all Members of Parliament (MPs) and elected MPs on their well-deserved victory. Your constituents have recognized and rewarded your dedication and hard work throughout the campaign, and this achievement is a testament to your unwavering commitment to the betterment of your communities.

As a next step, we kindly request that you take the time in the second week of this month, before the Christmas festivities, to visit and express your gratitude to the key stakeholders in your constituencies. This includes Traditional and Religious Leaders, Churches, Mosques, Drivers, Market Women, Traders, Artisans, and the Constituency/Zonal Campaign Teams. Your recognition of their support will go a long way in strengthening the bonds within your community. Please remember to rest for at least one day before embarking on this important task, as it is crucial to approach this with both energy and appreciation.

In light of recent developments, we must address a critical matter regarding the preservation of peace and order. MPs, elected MPs, and Constituency Leadership are urged to take proactive steps to prevent any acts of violence, looting, or the seizure of government properties or private assets belonging to NPP members. The transition of power to the next government is set to occur on January 7, 2025, and we must remind all that any such unlawful actions could result in legal consequences under the current government.

It is important to clarify that the Party Leadership has neither authorized nor condoned any acts of aggression or retaliation against the staff of public or government institutions, nor any unlawful recovery of government property for personal reasons. We call on all members to uphold the values of justice, peace, and unity as we approach the transition.

Thank you for your cooperation and dedication.

Reg. Sec. – Bono
