The highly anticipated general elections in Ellembelle are underway, with 79,227 registered voters across 161 polling stations expected to cast their ballots today.
At Esiama Senior High Technical School (Esiama SecTech), where three polling stations have been set up, electoral activity commenced smoothly. At Esiama SecTech 1, 418 registered voters are expected, while Esiama SecTech Esiama 1 and Esiama SecTech 2 have 417 and 706 registered voters, respectively.
As early as 7:30 a.m., the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, Hon. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, arrived to cast his vote at Aiyinasi post office1A. Speaking to the media after exercising his franchise, the MP expressed confidence in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) securing victory in both the parliamentary and presidential elections.
“The NDC has worked tirelessly for the people of Ellembelle, and I am optimistic that the results will reflect the trust the electorate has in us,” he stated.
The voting process, which began at 7:00 a.m., is being closely monitored by election officials and security personnel to ensure a peaceful and transparent exercise. Reports from various polling stations indicate that turnout has been steady, with voters adhering to guidelines set by the Electoral Commission.
This election is critical for Ellembelle, as constituents decide who will represent them in Parliament and which party will govern the nation for the next four years.
