Akufo-Addo names Herbert Krapa as substantive Energy Minister

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Mr. Herbert Krapa as the substantive Minister for Energy, effective Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

The President noted that Mr. Krapa, who has served as Minister of State at the Ministry of Energy since July 15, 2024, is credited with demonstrating exceptional diligence, professionalism, and a steadfast commitment to his responsibilities.

In a statement issued by Eugene Arhin, the Director of Communications at the Jubilee House, President Akufo-Addo commended Mr. Krapa for his leadership and hard work, expressing confidence in his ability to excel in this new role.

The President also emphasised that Mr. Krapa’s appointment is expected to ensure continued growth and transformation in Ghana’s energy sector for the benefit of the nation.
