Independent Presidential Candidate, Kofi Koranteng has criticised Ghana’s 8th Parliament describing it as the “most useless” in the history of the country’s politics.
In an interview with Kemini Amanor on TV3’s Hot Issues, Kofi Koranteng who is seeking to be elected as the next President argued that this current Parliament has contributed less to the development of the nation.
“This Parliament is the most useless Parliament. They haven’t done anything. If they had done something, you tell me. Go outside and look at the mess, the whole country is ‘borla’. ‘Borla’ in terms of nothing works,” he stated on November 17.
Kofi Koranteng further called on Ghanaians to vote for him in the upcoming polls as he is the man to fix the country’s ‘mess’.
“That’s why we need to bring somebody who can fix it. That’s why I am the official ‘Borla’ man,” he added.
He emphasized that as a President, he will build consensus with Members of Parliament for the good of Ghana because he believes there are MPs willing to do the right thing but for the system.
“Not everyone in Parliament I think want to do bad by Ghanaians but they don’t have a choice because of the system…there are people there who with the right leader and President, they will stick their heads up and say Kofi I want to work with you,” he said.
He contended he finds no exceptional Member of Parliament in the current Parliament.
The Independent Presidential Candidate further noted that he will reduce the 275 constituencies to only 20 in his second term as President as part of changes to ensure development.
