As Ghana prepares to go to polls barely a month from today, it is most important to uphold the constitution and serve it’s interest to safeguard our only pride, our democracy.
As required by law that, candidates are to provide accurate information about them selves which included their qualifications among several others, it is also criminal to provide false information about yourself as a candidate.
In a document that MASEMTVGH, is in possession of, a private citizen by name Kingsford Oduro Dickson, wrote a petition to the electoral commission challenging the eligibility of an independent candidate at Banda Constituency by name Isaac Anorhene who has presented fake certificates to Ghana Education service portraying to hold certicates from the University of cape coast and have since been promoted to the rank of a principal superintendent and have since taken salaries to that effect although his actual qualification is a pupil teacher, and not until an audit report revealed that he doesn’t merit that qualifications and rank and he subsequently wrote a letter to the Director General of Ghana Education service to declare his through rank and apologized to that effect.
Meanwhile, consel for the plaintiff, Lawyer Foster Akwasi Asante Esq. wrote the University of Cape Coast demanding the authenticity of the certicates in question, and official reply from the University, which we, MASEMTVGH,are privy to indicates that, that the said Isaac Anorhene has never enrolled in UCC as a student and the certificates were not issued by the University.
The University therefore concluded that the certificates are fake and same amounts to forging of official documents.
However, in spite of all these fraudulent engagement and serious national security threat and petition sent to the electoral by the plaintiff, Mr. Kingsford Oduro Dickson, the electoral commission turn deaf ears to the petition without giving it it’s required attention, the plaintiff upon been ignored by the electoral commission(EC) , filed a suit at the registry at Sunyani High court, thereby by Injucting the EC and the supposed candidate, Isaac Anorhene from carrying himself as a parliamentary candidate.
In addition, information reaching Masem TV indicates that a formal complaint has been lodged with the IGP to arrest the suspect and conduct further investigation into his conduct and prosecute him accordingly.
Masem TV is keenly following events and will update viewers on the turn of events. Keep tuned.
The plaintiff is therefore asking , the electoral commission to act in accordance with the law and disqualify the candidate in question with immediate effect, and in addition asking the IGP, National Security Coordinator, National Security ministry and the National Investigation Bureau (NIB) to immediately conduct investigation into this matter and the alleged criminal conduct be brought to book.
The supporting documents are copies of the initial petition and the reply from the University of Cape Coast with regards to the authenticity of the certificates.
