Godfred Yeboah Dame, Attorney General and Minister of Justice has urged the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) to be vigilant against any form of illegal pressure exerted on the judiciary.
He said this during the swearing-in ceremony for the President and executives of the GBA in Accra on Monday, November 4.
“The Bar must prevent and condemn each and every act of illegal pressure on the Judiciary,” he stated.
He further warned against “unscrupulous persons who undermine the independence of the Judiciary by tarnishing its image unjustifiably.”
Highlighting the critical role of the legal community, Dame asserted that maintaining the integrity of the judiciary is essential for upholding the “purity, dignity, and majesty of our courts.”
