Madam Margret Abrafi Appiah, the Sunyani West municipal National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has cautioned supporters of political parties to desist from the practice of defacing campaign posters of the opponents in the December polls.
She warned that such bad practices are unlawful and cut slurs on the nation’s electoral processes, saying the culprit would be prosecuted.
She gave the advice when speaking on the Bono FM 107.5 Adekye Mu Nsem morning show with the host Kwame Lofty, a local radio station based in Odomase, Sunyani West Capital.
She educated the general public to give respect to every political party poster, banner, signpost, and billboard during campaign seasons.
The NCCE director however also urged all political parties to be more vigilance where to erect billboards and pasting their posters to avoid hooliganism and violence.
