The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has declared that a future John Mahama-led administration will be “scary for bad people” in Ghana.
He vowed that the next Mahama government would recover every pesewa misappropriated under the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
Speaking to party supporters in Sandema, Upper East Region, during his three-day regional tour, Mr Nketiah assured that the NDC will uphold justice and fairness for law-abiding citizens but will hold accountable those who have engaged in corruption or mismanaged state resources.
He emphasised that no wrongdoing would go unpunished under a future NDC government.
“Let me assure you, the Mahama government is not scary for good people but certainly going to be scary for bad people in this country.”
He added, “So wherever you are now, whether you’re in government work, whether you are in private business, make sure you conduct your life well according to the principles of a citizen of this country.
“Because when we come to power, we must set standards that’ll be followed by generations yet unborn. And that is the surest way of ensuring development in this country”.
