President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on the people of the Upper East Region to vote overwhelmingly for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming December polls.
He emphasized that Dr. Bawumia embodies the hopes and aspirations of many Ghanaians as the nation approaches the elections.
The President encouraged the electorate in the region to support the NPP by voting for the number one spot on the ballot on election day.
President Akufo-Addo made these remarks while addressing the Chiefs and elders of the Upper East Region during his one-day tour of the region on Tuesday.
“I came here to give you an account of my stewardship, say hello for your support and also to urge you to seriously take into consideration the need for you to choose somebody to step into my shoes who is going to carry on the policies that we have enumerated that have brought relief and progress and development to our country,” he stated.
He added, “…This particular election is the simple one when you go to the polls on the ballot paper just look at number one you will see the elephant on number one you don’t have to go any further.”
