Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Adaklu, Governs Kwame Agbodza, has announced that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will embark on a US$10 billion accelerated infrastructure plan to create jobs if elected in the 2024 general elections.
He explained that this ambitious plan will focus on job creation by prioritizing the completion of unfinished and abandoned government infrastructure projects across all sectors.
Speaking during the second edition of the party’s press briefing on its 2024 Manifesto on Tuesday, September 3, Agbodza explained that they will, “Embark on a US$10 billion accelerated infrastructural plan to drive job creation and prioritise the completion of uncompleted and abandoned government infrastructural projects across all sectors.
He further highlighted the NDC’s intention to revamp the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) to undertake strategic self-financing projects aimed at job creation and national transformation.
Agbodza emphasized that a vote for the NDC’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, would be a vote for transformational infrastructure with enhanced value for money, delivering efficient transportation, cutting-edge ICT connectivity platforms, and improved social services delivery.
“To conclude, fellow citizens, a vote for President Mahama is a vote for transformational infrastructure with enhanced value for money that will deliver efficient transportation, cutting-edge ICT connectivity platforms and improved social services delivery.”
