Former First Lady, Mrs Lordina Dramani Mahama, has donated food items and a cash amount of five thousand cedis (GHC5,000) to the St. Kizito Vocational Technical Institute in Bole.
The donation, under the auspices of the Lordina Foundation, which included ten bags of rice, two bags of maize, boxes of tomato paste, cooking oil among others, is aimed at addressing the food challenges facing the school.
Presenting the items on behalf of the former First Lady, Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi Constituency, Yussif Sulemana, eulogized the former First Lady for her benevolence and unending support for the Bole District.
“We are proud that she is associated with us here in bole and her footprints are doted in every facet of our lives,” the MP said.
He acknowledged the construction of an ultramodern maternity and children’s ward at the Bole hospital as one project that is consolidating the health gains of the district.
“Let me say that the support we receive from her in the area of infrastructure, food, footing of hospital bills among others is just extraordinary,“ Mr Sulemana added.
Principal of the institute, Rev. Anacletus Tinper, expressed gratitude to the former First Lady for the support and like ‘Oliver twist’ asked for more interventions from stakeholders.
“I am short of words for this gesture but all I will say is may God bless and replenish her and the husband,“ he prayed.
In a related development, Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi Constituency, Yussif Sulemana, has donated 500 bags of cement to the Christian Council of churches in the Bole District.
The gesture was based on a request for support by the Local Council of Churches in the Bole District.
The MP, while praising the efforts of the church in promoting peace and development, urged them to offer prayers for the return of John Dramani Mahama as president of Ghana to bring more development.
