In a significant development at the Nsawam Adoagyire constituency, police have arrested a man named Samuel Koranteng, who was found in possession of missing Electoral Commission’s Biometric Verification Devices (BVD). The suspect was apprehended at Nsawam after he was found with the devices, raising concerns about potential electoral misconduct or theft.
Upon his arrest, Samuel Koranteng claimed that he was from Tudu in the Greater Accra Region he got hold of the machine through his accomplice called Farouk, and that it was Farouk who led them to someone who sold it to them for 500 cedis and he only came to Nsawam to sell the BVD with serial number *S/N VVD49976* which is confirmed to be one of EC’s missing BVD machines. The suspect, Samuel Korangteng, has been taken into custody of Nsawam district police command and is currently undergoing interrogation at the Districy police station to uncover further details about how he came into possession of the missing devices and to identify the person who allegedly gave them to him.
