The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has stated that a vote for the NPP is a vote for a “brand new, tear-rubber president” with fresh ideas to solve Ghana’s challenges.
In contrast, he described a vote for the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) candidate, John Mahama, as a vote for a “second-hand, failed president.”
Dr. Bawumia made these remarks during a community engagement on Wednesday as part of his tour of the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency in the Eastern Region.
He emphasized that a vote for him would guarantee the promotion of accountability in governance.
“I am not yet a President so if you vote for me, you will get a brand-new tear rubber president but if you vote for John Dramani Mahama you get a second-hand failed president.
“Do you want a brand new or second-hand? If you want brand new then vote for Bawumia and Kojo Oppong Nkrumah,” he stated.
