Dr. Gideon Boako, the spokesperson for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on Ghanaians to trust the promises made by the NPP flagbearer as the 2024 general elections approach.
Dr. Boako emphasized that Dr. Bawumia’s track record reflects his dedication and ability to lead the country effectively.
Speaking on Eyewitness News, Dr. Boako highlighted that despite claims of a “run down” economy, the current administration has achieved significant milestones under Dr. Bawumia’s leadership.
“You have to trust his words and I can tell you one thing an economy that has been run down cannot be the economy to create the largest number of jobs in the country.
“The economy that has been run to the ground cannot be the economy that has constructed the longest kilometres of roads in this country since 1992.
“An economy that has been run to the ground cannot be the economy to have been the only government to provide free senior high school education to the Ghanaian people,” he stated.
He continued, “The economy that has been run to the ground cannot be the government that has been able to restore things that have been cancelled in previous governments [like] teacher trainee allowance, nursing trainee allowances.”
