Alan Kyerematen Knew About ‘Agyapadie’ Book in 2016 but Stayed Silent – Esther Agyeman Alleges

Esther Agyeman, a prominent member of the ruling New Patriotic Party’s communications team, has launched a scathing critique against Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, the leader of the Movement for Change, accusing him and his supporters of promoting the controversial ‘Agyapadie’ document.

In an interview with Kojo Marfo on AbusuaNkommo, Esther Agyeman revealed that she first encountered the document in 2015 and became well-versed in its contents. The document allegedly outlines a strategy to elevate Ofori Panin’s stature above that of His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, wrest control of the NPP from the Asantes, and seize key national assets.

Agyeman claims that Alan Kyerematen, who was part of the NPP’s leadership at the time, was fully aware of the document’s contents as early as 2016 but chose to remain silent and align himself with the party’s leadership in their bid for power.

“Today, those at the forefront of discussing the Agyapadie book are not the NDC, but the Movement for Change led by Hon. Alan Kyerematen,” she asserted.

She further questioned Kyerematen’s actions, noting, “The book surfaced in 2016. Alan Kyerematen saw the book, heard its contents, but still campaigned alongside Nana Addo for power in 2016.”

Agyeman criticized Kyerematen for not speaking out against the alleged plot to undermine the Asante faction within the NPP, arguing that if the document’s contents are true, Kyerematen bears responsibility for enabling the ‘Akyem Mafias’ to rise to power.

“If the Agyapadie book is true, then Alan Kyerematen has failed Asante because he knowingly helped them come to power to implement their state capture,” she emphasized.

She concluded by questioning Kyerematen’s recent departure from the party, asking, “Now that you’re out of the party, have you realized it is something that will destroy Asanteman?”
