Renowned pastor and vocal supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, has made a bold and candid assessment of the Akufo-Addo administration, declaring that the government has failed the people of Ghana. According to Bempah, the hardships facing Ghanaians are a direct result of the government’s mismanagement, and those closest to the President are too fearful to convey the harsh realities.
Bempah, who gained national attention for prophesying the NPP’s victory in the 2016 elections, pointed fingers at two key figures—Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and lawyer Gabby Otchere-Darko—as the ones truly steering the country. He claimed that these individuals hold so much power that even ministers and other high-ranking officials must seek their approval before taking any action.
The outspoken preacher lamented that President Nana Akufo-Addo has lost his way, entrusting the nation’s affairs to these two individuals, and urged the President to hear the unvarnished truth to correct the course.
However, this declaration has sparked debate, with many questioning the role Owusu Bempah himself played in bringing the current leadership to power. Critics are asking, “Didn’t Bempah once claim that God chose Nana Addo for us through him? What happened to that divine endorsement?”
The pastor’s startling critique has left many pondering the state of the nation’s leadership and the influence wielded by those behind the scenes. As the discontent grows, Ghanaians are left wondering if the President will heed this warning or continue on the current path.
