In a startling revelation by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, it has been uncovered that Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, despite claiming to have never received any government contracts from the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration, has indirectly benefited through his second identity, Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.
Ablakwa presented compelling evidence showing that two companies, EL Dunamis Limited and JNS Talent Centre Limited, both owned by Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, were awarded contracts worth a total of GHS7 million by the government. These contracts were for the supply of paper towels to the Ministry of Health in 2021. The payment vouchers indicate that JNS Talent received GHS3.5 million on July 23, 2021, while EL Dunamis was paid the same amount on August 17, 2021.
The contracts were single-sourced, raising questions about the transparency and fairness of the procurement process. Ablakwa’s disclosure highlights the critical role of parliamentary oversight in uncovering such schemes and preventing deceitful practices. The exposure of Boateng’s dual identity scheme underscores the need for stringent checks and accountability in government contracting.
As the investigation unfolds, the public is left questioning the ethical and moral integrity of those involved, and calls for a thorough review of the procurement processes to prevent future occurrences of such deceitful practices.
