Parliament has adjourned Sine Dine. The house at its third meeting of the fourth session approved the Affirmative Action, Gender Equity Bill 2024, the Ghana Shippers Authority Bill 2024, and the National Service Authority Bill 2024 among others.
The meeting also had the Minister for Finance, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam appear before the house to present the 2024 Mid-Year Budget Review.
The Speaker, Alban Bagbin adjourned the house indefinitely on Tuesday after the minority caucus in a voice vote won against the approval of a 250 million dollar loan facility for the Ghana Energy Sector Recovery Programme.
But the Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin says the caucus disagrees with the unilateral decision by the Speaker to adjourn the house.
He disclosed that the group will Marshal its numbers to recall the house in accordance with law.
