Richard Ahiagbah survives near-fatal accident on Accra-Kumasi highway

Richard Ahiagbah, the National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is currently fighting for his life following a serious car accident.

The collision occurred early Saturday morning around 1:30 am on the Kumasi-Accra highway near Aduapompo.

Preliminary reports indicate that Ahiagbah was the sole occupant of his vehicle when it was involved in a crash with an articulated truck.

Eyewitness accounts suggest driver fatigue may have been a contributing factor to the accident.

The injured NPP stalwart was immediately transported to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi where he is receiving intensive care.

Medical professionals describe his condition as critical.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
