The National Democratic Congress has announced that its 2024 election campaign will officially kick off on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in Tamale in the Northern Region.
This was revealed by the NDC’s flagbearer John Dramani Mahama during the ‘Get Fit and Ready Mahama Walk’ in Accra, on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
According to him, the campaign will unfold across various regions in the country leading up to the 2024 polls.
During the walk, John Mahama emphasised the need for collective effort during the campaign to win more votes.
‘’The campaign is for all of us. it is not for Joshua Alabi, he is the campaign manager. It is not for your constituency campaign taskforces; it is not for your regional campaign taskforces. It is for every one of you. Any spare time you have, wear your T-shirts, we are going to send you leaflets and you go from house to house and distribute the leaflets to your neighbours and tell them the message of the NDC’’ he said.
He also urged party agents and executives to stay vigilant on election day until results are declared to prevent any potential irregularities like cheating and to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process.
“On that day, you are not just going to vote and go home. You will wait and protect the ballot box. I don’t want to call agents or executives and your lines are switched off,” he stated
