Rotary Club of Sunyani East Charts New Course with President Foster Akwasi Asante’s Inaugural Speech

Saturday, 13th July 2024, marked a new beginning for the Rotary Club of Sunyani East as Rotarian Foster Akwasi Asante was inaugurated as the new President during a ceremony at the Eusbett Hotel. The event was attended by distinguished guests including Nkosohene of Dumasua,Nana Ayebiafo Jnana

In his inaugural speech, President Asante expressed his honor and privilege to lead the club. He reflected on his experiences with Rotarians in his legal career and the values of fairness, goodwill, honesty, and dedication that he admires in them. He highlighted the club’s significant contributions to the community over the past 11 years, including providing food, water, medical equipment, and educational infrastructure.

President Asante outlined his vision for the club, focusing on three key areas: enhancing public image, retaining members, and consolidating service projects. He proposed a “Corporate Outreach Program” to attract new members and emphasized the importance of improving maternal and child health in the region.

 

 

Acknowledging the club’s challenges, such as declining membership and financial constraints, President Asante called for unity and support from all members. He stressed the importance of collaboration with other Rotary clubs to achieve greater success in their projects and initiatives.
