The Ghana Police Service has invited Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus for questioning on Monday, July 15, 2024.
His invitation is to assist Police in ongoing investigation into the death of Ahmed Suale, following his recent claims on social media that he has some information regarding the case.
This was contained in a statement by the Police issued on Monday, July 15. The statement noted that investigation into the death of Ahmed Suale has been ongoing since the unfortunate incident happened.
“The Cold Case Unit established in October 2021, under the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to handle cases of this nature has been working on the investigation into the case and closely engaging with the deceased’s family,” the police said.
“The Police is therefore pleased that Mr. Kwame Asare Obeng (A-Plus) has made indication that he has some information that could assist the ongoing investigation, and he has been invited accordingly,” the statement added.
Ahmed Suale, 31, an investigative journalist, worked with Tiger Eye PI, the investigative firm established by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, known for its use of undercover journalistic methods to expose corruption and other ills in society.
His murder in Accra in January 2019, shocked many across the media landscape.
