Joyce Bawah Mogtari, spokesperson for the John Mahama Campaign Team, has maintained that a pre-election debate between the NDC flagbearer and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP flagbearer, is unnecessary.
Despite appeals from political analysts and other stakeholders, Bawah Mogtari dismissed the idea of a debate between the two major contenders.
On Saturday, July 13, Bawah Mogtari posted on X (formerly Twitter) that there is nothing left to debate about, citing the country’s economic crisis.
She urged voters to make wise decisions at the 2024 polls.
“My Dear Brothers and Sisters, what really is there to debate about, there is absolutely nothing left to debate. The economy has crashed and the country broke. “We dey for gutter inside”. A steering wheel without a car can’t get anyone anywhere. Let’s vote wisely, choose experience.”
In an earlier interview on The Point of View on Channel One TV, Bawah Mogtari dismissed the idea of a debate between the two major contenders.
While praising Mahama’s exceptional energy and vast knowledge, she hesitated to accept a debate invitation.
