The NDC member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West Constituency in the Central region of Ghana, Hon. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui has extended her humanitarian gesture to AsumiApa apprentices by paying their “head fees” to commence apprenticeship training in their respective chosen careers.
AsumiApa Skills Training Program is a very Good initiative which seeks to develop marketable, relevant and job-ready skills such as dress making, hairdressing, catering & decorations, driving, Aluminum fabrication, building construction, welding, CCTV, Satellite TV, electric fence installations etc for the youth in Awutu Senya West.
On 9th and 11th July 2024, Hon. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui paid “head fees” (tsir nsa) for 110 apprentices from Senya Beraku and Awutu Beraku in the Awutu Senya West Constituency.
AsumiApa skills training program which has over 400 youth enrolled in the various skills training modules which seeks to give employable skills to the unemployed teaming youth to better their standard of living thereby alleviating poverty in their families and communities.
At the ceremony, the MP advised that the youth to learn their various skills well to develop themselves to also develop others in an attempt to reducing unemployment rate in the constituency.
The MP reiterated that skilled jobs are the only thing nobody can take away from them.
She added that, employable skills training either formal or informal could easily fetch themselves jobs in the long run.
Hon. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui thanked the master trainers for the solid partnership and dedication towards AsumiApa Skills Training Program.
The masters who joyfully received the head fees(tsir nsa) showered praises on the MP for her enormous contributions to human capital development in the constituency and promised to rally support to retain her as MP to continue the good works she is doing Awutu Senya West Constituency.
