Franklin Cudjoe, the president of IMANI Africa, has urged the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to take responsibility for the country’s economic crisis.
During his appearance on The Big Issue on Channel One TV, Franklin Cudjoe called on Dr Bawumia to recognise and address the nation’s current economic challenges.
His sentiments align with the advice given by Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to Dr Bawumia. The Asantehene stressed the need for transparency and detailed policy communication to gain the electorate’s confidence in Dr Bawumia’s potential presidency.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II emphasised the importance of the Vice President outlining his strategies to build upon the current NPP government’s achievements. He highlighted the critical role of articulating future plans in securing the trust of Ghanaian voters.
Franklin Cudjoe stressed that Dr Bawumia has a significant role in addressing these issues and needs to take responsibility for the country’s economic matters.
“Bawumia has not done his image any good by the many economic theories he propounded which he seems to have run away from all of them.
“So, I want to call on him just like the Asantehene did to own up to the economic matters. You see those things are personality-related,” he stated.
