Inauguration of Aflao Transitional Centre: Engage Now Africa Joins MoGSP and EU Delegates in Fight Against Human Trafficking

Engage Now Africa was invited by the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGSP) in collaboration with Expertise France, with support from the European Union Ghana in the inauguration and commissioning of a transitional shelter for victims of human trafficking and other forms of exploitation in Aflao, Volta Region on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Engage Now Africa was represented by Mr. Afasi Komla, the Director of End Modern Slavery, Madam Lydia Ohenewaa, the Programs Manager and Madam Barbara Mensah Appiah, the Cordinator.

The inauguration marks the official closure of the Regional Project to support the fight against Human Trafficking and other forms of exploitation in the States of the Gulf of Guinea, of which Ghana is a part.

This transitional shelter aims to enhance the identification, protection and care of human trafficking victims.

It was a great opportunity to be invited to be part of this memorable occasion and also to meet the European Union delegates and the French Ambassador for future collaboration and partnerships.

We are grateful to the Gender ministry for this opportunity and look forward to more of these invitations.
