As the Vice President of Ghana and the Flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party prepare for their inaugural campaign tour in the Eastern Region, the Eastern Regional Communication Bureau finds it imperative to elucidate the glaring disparity between the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) robust legacy of developmental strides and the current administration’s palpable inadequacies especially because the dishonest vice president who is known for peddling falsehoods would not miss any opportunity to do what he does best( lies )
The NDC’s tenure witnessed a paradigm shift in infrastructural development, marked by landmark achievements such as the establishment of the Abetifi Referral Hospital which has been left to rot, the University of Environmental and Sustainable Development, and pivotal water projects in Suhum, Akwatia, Wenchi, and Dwenase. Additionally, the construction of Community Day SHS facilities in Takorase and Maame Krobo,kwaobah-Nyanoa,Kwahu Fodoa, Mem-chemfre,Anum Apapam and Apersua along with extensive town road networks and chip compounds, symbolizes monumental progress observed in the Eastern Region. Unlike the deceitful rhetoric of Bawumia and his failed NPP regime, which fall short of showcasing any tangible progress, H.E. John Dramani Mahama spearheaded a transformative agenda that propelled these communities.
Unveiling the NPP’s Performance Tracker reveals a disconcerting reality laced with lies, deceit, and obvious misinformation, designed to hoodwink unsuspecting Ghanaians:
1. Misidentification of Towns and Projects:
The NPP’s tracker erroneously lists projects in non-existent locales like Bunso in Abuakwa North, exposing gross negligence in data accuracy. Community-driven initiatives are falsely attributed as government endeavors, laying bare the NPP’s incapacity to discern genuine achievements.
2. *Non-existence and Non- Completion of Projects:*
Numerous projects purportedly completed by the NPP remain either nonexistent or unfinished, exemplified by the unfulfilled upgrades of the Suhum-Nankese road and the illusory CRB construction at Wenchi Methodist. This raises alarming questions about accountability and transparency. Fabricated projects such as the Ghana Rural Telephony and Digital Inclusion in Okere showcase a pattern of deliberate misinformation and deceit.
Misattribution of Projects:
Inaccurate claims of projects in Adukrom underscore the NPP’s desperate attempt to fabricate achievements, masking the pervasive neglect and decay under their stewardship.
Questions for the NPP’s Flagbearer:
1. Can the NPP’s Flagbearer offer a comprehensive dossier of actual projects executed by his party in the Eastern Region, or is their portfolio merely an amalgam of fallacies and distortions?
2. Despite staunch electoral backing, why does the NDC’s developmental legacy eclipse the NPP’s feeble efforts in the Eastern Region? Is it incompetence or a deliberate dereliction of duty?
3. How does the NPP intend to rectify the glaring disparities and discrepancies within its Performance Tracker, or are they content with perpetuating a facade of achievement and eluding accountability?
4. Given the egregious disparities between listed projects and their tangible existence, what measures will the NPP implement to ensure transparency and rectitude, or do they prefer to cloak their shortcomings in deception?
5. How does the NPP’s Flagbearer counter allegations of reneging on promises and principles in the Eastern Region, or is duplicity and subterfuge entrenched in their modus operandi?
We in the Eastern Region are readily prepared to expose the lies he will be peddling in the course of his tour in the region. We urge all citizens in the region not to be hoodwinked by the perennial lies of the Drivers mate
Signed,
Comrade Kojo Danquah
