Akufo-Addo’s driver floors MCE for La Dadekotopon in a stiff NPP contest

In a surprising turn of events, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for La DADEKOTOPON Solomon Kotey Niko has lost the race to become the NPP parliamentary candidate for the area in a closely contested race.

Joseph Kwashie Addo, who serves as the personal driver of President Akufo-Addo defeated Solomon Kotey Niko in a landslide victory at the Zenith University College in La.

Out of a total of 1,221 votes, Joseph Addo won by 664 while his opponent Solomon Kotey Niiko gunned 555 votes with two rejected ballots.

 

Addressing journalists after his victory, Joseph Addo thanked the over one thousand delegates for their support in the contest.

He pledged to rally support and unite the rank and file of the party to win the seat from the NDC.

Joseph Addo managed to rally significant support, capitalizing on supporting the youth of the area with employment opportunities.

The primary has become necessary following the resignation of the earlier acclaimed parliamentary candidate, Dr. Joseph Gerald Nyanyofio.
