Video: Kumasi Has Transformed To ‘Glass Nkwoaa’ Republic; You Cannot Compare New York To It – Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti regional chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Bosiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, says, the capital city of Ashanti region, Kumasi, has experienced a huge transformation since president Akufo-Addo begun his tenure.

He said, this, is as a result of the infrastructure development that has taken place in the city in recent years.

“Kumasi has changed for the past eight years NPP came into office. If you tour Tafo, Suame, and other suburbs, you can see the transformation. The modern houses that have been built by private individuals are top notch” he stressed.

Speaking in an interview on Wontumi TV, on 19th April, 2024, Mr Bosiako highlighted the opportunities in Kumasi through this transformation, asserting that, it cannot be compared to the New York City in the United States of America.

“People used not to build mansions but now we have several of them here. Newyork city cannot be compared to Diamond hills in Kumasi. It is amazing how people are still purchasing acres of land regardless of its prices. This does not even happen in USA” he added.

He However commended the NPP government for its fair distribution of the National cake to the region.
