NPP is responsible for brain drain in Ghana – NDC Bono Deputy Regional Youth

It is sad to mention that, once a youthful Ghana is practically transforming itself into a vessel of brain drain.

The 2021 Ghana Population and Housing Census has revealed that the number of Ghanaians leaving the country for other parts of the world for employment, is on the rise, with the youth being the dominant group abandoning the country.

Statistics from the Thematic Report on Migration 2021 revealed that more than 77% of those leaving the country to seek greener pastures elsewhere fall between the ages of 20-49.

The report further dictates that 37% of these young Ghanaians are leaving for Europe whereas 23.7% for Americaand the remaining percentage for other continents.

Among these statistics, most of them seeks to settle permanently abandoning our dear country Ghana.

As much as it’s a bad taste of situation for our country, one can hardly blame these young people who have been abandoning by this vicious administration, refusing to create jobs and conducive economic environment for these young people to thrive.

The Bawumia administration inherited so much from H.E. Mahama but chose to focus on greed, selfishness, impudence, corruption and lack of economic planning to curb these challenges.

The unemployment situation in the country is unprecedentedly 14.7%. The latest National Security Report has it that the peace and stability is being threatened by the teeming unemployed youth.

This is sad but there’s hope, H.E. Mahama’s 24hr Economy Policy has received a general acceptance from all stakeholders and I have no doubt that it take care of the current unemployment situation.
